BIO
William Schmidt is a University Distinguished Professor at Michigan State University and the National Research Coordinator and Executive Director of the National Center which oversees U.S. participation in the Third International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). A past Chairman of the Department of Educational Psychology and former Acting Dean for Planning and Evaluation in the College of Education at Michigan State University, he was also head of the Office of Policy Studies and Program Assessment for the National Science Foundation.EXPERTISE
